Industries across AP observe Yoga Day
The 9th International Yoga Day was celebrated by various industries with tremendous enthusiasm across Andhra Pradesh on Wednesday. Union Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs and External Affairs V Muraleedharan, who was the chief guest at the Yoga Day celebrations conducted by Visakhapatnam Port Authority (VPA), said this year the Centre is organising IDY-2023 with a theme of ‘Yoga for Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam" and informed that it is a proud movement for the Indians, since Prime Minister Narendra Modi led the yoga session at the United Nations headquarters in New York, where majority of the member-countries of the UN participated.

VPA Chairperson M Angamuthu said by practicing yoga one will lead a healthy life and keep away from diseases. VPA is planning to conduct yoga classes for employees every week, he added. Rajya Sabha MP GVL Narasimha Rao, former MLC PVN Madhav, VPA Chief Vigilance Officer PSL Swami, Secretary T Venu Gopal and others were present.
Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL), the largest industry of AP, which owns the Visakhapatnam Plant celebrated massive yoga exercises at Col CK Naidu Indoor Stadium. Dr SC Pandey, Director (Personnel), RINL inaugurated the yoga session and highlighted the need for everyone to practice yoga daily to keep themselves physically and mentally fit.
